Brian Martin returns as Berwick look to bounce back

Berwick welcome back Brian Martin from a ban but will be without Allan Walker (back) as they look to return to form against visitors Elgin City.

The Borderers suffered their first defeat in six games when they lost at Annan last weekend and manager John Coughlin is looking for a positive reaction.

Coughlin said: "We still need wins to get out of trouble and getting one in this game would be a great way to bounce back.

"Elgin have very good strikers in their team and we need to contain them as well as looking for our own frontmen to create more danger than they did at Annan."

Elgin manager Jim Weir has no suspension or injury worries as his side seek to maintain their title challenge.

However they will have to do without defender Darryl McHardy, who is not available to make the long trip south.

Weir said: "We lost a bit of ground to leaders East Fife last weekend when we drew with Montrose. They were delighted to leave our place with a point and the lesson for us is that we need to find ways to win games against stubborn teams.

"Berwick have proven to be very mean in defence under John Coughlin and they have also turned Shielfield into a bit of a fortress so this will be a tough game to get the three points from."
