Berwick Rangers have keeper Kevin Walker available against managerless Arbroath

Berwick Rangers have goalkeeper Kevin Walker available to face managerless Arbroath at Shielfield, but Allan Walker will miss out on a midfield berth due to a back injury.

The second-from-bottom Borderers picked up a point in a goalless draw at Queen's Park at the weekend that pulled them a further point away from East Stirling. However manager John Coughlin is looking higher than that.

Coughlin said: "We put on a very solid defensive performance to get that point and now have Arbroath in our sights. If we win we would move above Arbroath in the table and that is a nice piece of motivation."

Arbroath have started their search for a new manager after dispensing with the services of Todd Lumsden and his assistant Steven Hislop on Sunday.

Goalkeeping coach Mike Cargill will take the team, and he has Ricky Little available after a ban. However the injured Craig Johnstone (knee) and David Gold (ankle) have been ruled out.

Chairman John Christison said: "Despite having two crucial games this week we believe that the time was right for a change. Discussions have already taken place and hopefully we will have someone on board soon."

"Mike knows the club well and he will look after things as we look for a new manager."
