Trio back from suspension for Berwick

Berwick Rangers host Arbroath with Jonny Fairbairn, Finn Graham and Michael McKenna all returning from the suspensions that kept them out of the 1-0 defeat to East Fife last Saturday.

Brian Martin, who was a trialist in that game, has now been signed and the former Musselburgh Juniors skipper is set to start.

Manager John Coughlin said: "Arbroath are a strong side who beat us at their place recently so we are in for a tough game. We are in a better place squad-wise and hopefully that will help us get one of the wins we need to get away from the foot of the table."

The Borderers lie in ninth place, only two points off the bottom of the table.

Arbroath have added Dundee striker Josh Skelly on loan and Sergio Alvarez is included after overcoming a hamstring injury.

Craig Johnstone remains out with a knee problem as manager Todd Lumsden looks for his men to bounce back from defeat to league leaders Elgin last weekend.

Lumsden said: "We gave Elgin a right good game and had chances to recover after going down 3-2. We had won three games in a row so to lose was disappointing however we know that we can bounce back. Berwick will be tough opponents however we won the last meeting. We can win this one and keep close to the play-off pack."

The Smokies are six points off a play-off spot.
