Rangers skipper sidelined

Berwick Rangers host Annan without captain Stephen Tulloch, who had surgery this week on a fractured cheekbone.

Scott Maxwell also misses out with a hamstring injury as Colin Cameron's side look to improve on a recent run that has only brought one win in nine league games.

Cameron said: "Like ourselves Annan will be disappointed about their league position as both sides would have expected to be higher up.

"We scored a last-minute equaliser against East Fife last Saturday and then lost to an injury-time goal.

"We need to show that we are better than that, especially when it comes to defending set-pieces."

Annan are without Steven Swinglehurst and Kenny Mackay through knee injuries.

Jim Chapman is unable to finalise his side until Saturday lunchtime fitness checks on two players that the Galabank boss wanted to keep secret.

Chapman is looking for his men to turn draws into wins and said: "Draws are preventing us from making a real impact in the league. We are creating enough chances to win games but five draws in 11 games shows that we are not ruthless enough.

"Berwick are a quality side so this will be a tough game but it is a game that we can win if we take our chances better."
