Double boost for Borderers

Berwick include new signings Michael Andrews and Paul Currie in the squad to host Annan.

Goalkeeper Andrews arrives from East Fife and midfielder Currie has returned to the club from Musselburgh Juniors.

The Borderers will be without the injured Stephen Tulloch (hamstring) and Dougie Brydon (pelvis).

Manager Ian Little said: "Annan are doing well just now but we know that one win can transform our season into one of chasing promotion.

"Beating the second-placed side is the type of success that could do that. We should have beaten Montrose in our last game and taken something from Peterhead recently but it is time to be more ruthless rather that just playing good football."

Annan have brought Martin McNiff back on a permanent basis after he was released by Dumbarton.

Josh Todd has also joined the Galabank men for a second time after a further loan deal was agreed with Carlisle.

Manager Jim Chapman may miss out on bringing Rangers defender Andrew Mitchell back on board again for the time being, as Annan also miss the injured Peter Weatherson (knee), Steven Black (ankle), Iain Chisholm (knee) and David Hopkirk (foot).

Chapman said: "It has been a busy but productive time and I am delighted to bring some old faces back ahead of a tough game at Berwick."
