No Brydon for Berwick

Berwick will miss defender Dougie Brydon against visitors Annan due to a pelvic injury.

Shielfield boss Ian Little will also give Ross Gray until close to kick-off to prove his fitness.

The winger suffered a dead leg in the 2-0 Ramsdens Cup defeat to Rangers in midweek with Little looking for his men to have more punch up-front.

The Borderers manager said: "One of the main differences between Rangers and ourselves is that they were clinical when they had chances whereas we were a bit light up-front.

"Hopefully we can show that we have learned from that against an Annan side that have started the season well."

Annan have brought in Martin McNiff from Dumbarton for a second loan spell in 2013 and he will feature.

McNiff could be joined by further new recruits as manager Jim Chapman is looking to complete deals to bring two players from English clubs in on loan.

Chris Jardine misses out through injury and family commitments keep Stephen Sloan out.

Chapman said: "A win at Berwick would cap off a great start to the league before the International break.

"It will not be easy but if we reach the standards we have set in our other games then we are in with a chance."
