Hoskins back for Borderers

Dean Hoskins returns for Berwick as they look to all but clinch a play-off spot against Annan.

Hoskins comes back into the reckoning after suspension to help the Shielfield side in their quest.

Dougie Brydson could also return after a groin problem and Steve Notman is expected to play despite impending fatherhood, but Fraser McLaren will miss out with a toe injury.

The Borderers' boss Ian Little said: "It would be terrific to get the job done in this game as opposed to be looking to take something from Rangers at Ibrox next weekend.

"It would be great knowing that we could enjoy the party atmosphere that will be there without looking for a win.

"We have done well to get back into things with wins over Queen's Park and Elgin but there is no point in stopping now."

Annan travel without the experienced Chris Jardine.

The midfielder will serve a one-game suspension on Saturday and the Galabank side will also be missing the injured Graeme Ramage from their attack due to a knee injury.

Manager Jim Chapman is looking for an improved performance following last Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Stirling Albion.

He said: "Our last game was a poor display, especially as I had felt that we were starting to make progress as team.

"We are inconsistent and that is something that I will be looking to change for next season.

"Berwick are a good side with very good front men but we cannot concern ourselves too much with them as all I am looking for is Annan to play like they can."
