Berwick duo still sidelined

Berwick are again without Dean Droudge and Marc Lancaster for the visit of Annan.

Droudge has a knee problem and Lancaster is struggling with a back injury.

Winger Fraser McLaren may return after joining in training on Thursday, although manager Ian Little rates his chances as 'slim'.

But Lee Currie can play as his suspension for being dismissed in the Scottish Cup replay defeat by Stenhousemuir on Tuesday will be served next season.

Little said: "Annan will be coming here in a confident mood after a decent run of results. We have lost the last couple of games but have been unlucky in both so we have nothing to fear.

"If we play like we can and get a bit of luck on our side we can pick up the three points."

Annan are looking for their first away win of the season.

Manager Harry Cairney will give defender Steven Swinglehurst and winger David Murray until Saturday lunchtime to prove their fitness after recent injuries.

Graeme Bell's groin injury and John Watson's knee problem keep them out.

Cairney said: "We have climbed into third place without picking up three points on the road and it would be great to stay there by getting our first one.

"We are enjoying a good run of form just now and have a good record at Shielfield so we can go there with confidence and look to be positive. We have scored 10 goals in our last two home games and hopefully we can be as prolific at Berwick."
