Duo miss for Rangers

Berwick Rangers are again without the injured Euan Bauld (back) and Stevie Notman (knee) as they host Alloa in the Scottish League Cup.

Bauld has a back injury and Notman is troubled with a knee problem and neither men will be available to player-manager Colin Cameron.

Nevertheless Cameron is keen to build on a spirited performance against St Mirren last weekend.

He said: "We had eight players starting their first game for Berwick last Saturday and we gave St Mirren a lot of problems.

"We have set a standard for the season and I want us to show that we can reach that standard against an Alloa side that negotiated a tricky tie at Brora Rangers last weekend.

"We may be two leagues below Alloa but we are at home and plan to attack them."

Alloa include Estonian International defender Mikk Reintam for the first time after international clearance was received this week following his move from the Czech Republic.

Graeme Holmes is missing for the second game running due to suspension.

Manager Danny Lennon said: "We faced a very determined host side last weekend and expect Berwick to be exactly the same. We had a lot of good possession without creating many chances and hopefully we will add an edge to our game at Shielfield.

"Berwick ran a Championship side in St Mirren close last weekend and that is warning enough for us that we will have to work really hard to progress."
