Berwick batter Montrose
Berwick jumped above Montrose in Scottish League Two with a resounding 5-0 win over the Gable Endies at Shielfield Park.
Darren Lavery got the Borderers off to a flying start, firing past Stuart McKenzie after just five minutes.
Steven Notman doubled Berwick's lead after 23 minutes, slotting home Ross Gray's cross from close range. Just over a minute later the Borderers had their third goal as Lee Currie headed Notman's cross past McKenzie.
Currie doubled his own tally just after the hour-mark when he converted from the penalty spot after he was brought down by Ricky McIntosh in the area.
Substitute Scott Dalziel completed the rout in second-half stoppage-time, firing into the bottom-right corner from the middle of the box.
Berwick now climb up to sixth in the table, while Montrose slump down to eighth.
