Currie too hot for Clyde

Lee Currie helped Berwick ease past 10-man Clyde with a 4-0 win at Shielfield Park. It was the hosts' third win in their last 10 fixtures in Scottish League Two and they took the lead shortly before the half-hour mark when Darren Lavery found Andrew Russell and he made space to fire past Alan Martin. On the stroke of half-time, Russell was hauled down by Martin in the box and Currie's resulting spot-kick was saved.

Currie soon made amends for his penalty miss by scoring 75 seconds into the second half. Devon Jacobs played him through on the left-hand side of the box and he slid it across goal for his seventh of the campaign. Ciaran McBrearty was dismissed for the visitors shortly afterwards for a dangerous challenge, before Currie turned provider. He found Paul Willis on the edge of the box and his goalbound shot was deflected past Martin.

Ross Gray sealed the win six minutes from time with a neat finish into the top corner.
