Craig Gunn at the double as Elgin hit four

Substitute Craig Gunn scored twice as Elgin secured their first win in three Ladbrokes League Two games with a 4-2 victory at Berwick.

Shane Sutherland opened the scoring for City on 11 minutes, following up following a decent save from Kevin Walker to slot home left-footed.

Walker could have done better for Elgin's second goal, however, after he failed to stop Jamie Reid's effort from creeping into the corner on 24 minutes.

Chris McLeish then hit a post for the dominant visitors, but Berwick battled back to halve the deficit just before the break as Greg Hurst scored his first goal for the club.

Reid hit a post on the hour mark, but Gunn restored Elgin's two-goal advantage on 75 minutes with a right-footed effort.

Hurst fired home his second of the afternoon moments later, but Gunn eased any Elgin nerves to complete his own brace with four minutes remaining.
