Blair Henderson nets both goals as Berwick ease past Elgin

Blair Henderson took his tally for the season to 17 with a brace as Berwick claimed a 2-0 victory against Elgin.

Rangers took an early lead from the penalty spot, with Henderson converting after Steven Notman had been bundled over.

Notman left the field with what looked like a facial injury shortly afterwards.

Henderson nodded inches wide and was then denied by a flying stop from Mark Hurst before Elgin finally threatened as Mark Nicolson sent a header from a free-kick against a post.

Craig Gunn fired narrowly wide at the start of the second half before Berwick lost a second player to injury, Dylan Stevenson limping out of the action.

Berwick substitute Darren Lavery should have doubled his side's lead with a free header at the back post, but it was that man Henderson who sealed the points at the death with a towering header from a Ewan McNeil cross.
