Toon leave Rangers feeling blue

Champions Peterhead beat Berwick Rangers 2-1 at Balmoor to end the home side's hopes of securing a place in the Scottish League One play-offs.

The Black & Gold needed to win, and hope Stirling slipped up against Clyde, to finish the season in that crucial fourth place but, in the end, defeat to Jim McInally's team proved critical.

Lee Currie put Berwick in front just after the half-hour when he smashed a superb 30-yard free-kick beyond Graeme Smith to send the hosts into the break with a single-goal advantage.

The champions kicked into gear after the break though and Rory McAllister slammed in his 31st of the season after 62 minutes before doubling his tally for the day from the penalty spot in the 79th minute to condemn Berwick to another season in Scottish League Two.
