Rangers leave it late

Berwick snatched a late equaliser to deny Stirling Albion all three points in a 1-1 draw at Shielfield Park.


Stephen Day had a chance to opening the scoring for the visitors after 19 minutes, however his effort was comfortably saved by Paul Grant.


Berwick almost took the lead after 56 minutes, when Neil Janczyk's rasping shot from the left side of the box was turned away by David Crawford.


David Weatherston opened the scoring for Stirling after 59 minutes after being played in thanks to a brilliant Mark Ferry pass. Weatherston struck a sweet right-footed strike into the bottom right-hand corner to give the Binos the lead.


Darren Lavery levelled with just two minutes of normal time remaining, firing a right-footed effort high into the top of the net from six yards after the ball was nodded down by Dean Hoskins.
