Berwick 1-1 East Stirling: Match Report

26 March 2011 17:39
Brazil bags late leveller Alan Brazil's last-minute strike rescued a 1-1 draw for Berwick against East Stirling. The substitute's goal kept Berwick in touch with fourth-placed Stranraer, who occupy the final play-off place. East Stirling opened the scoring with the first attack of the game after five minutes, when John Neil unleashed an unstoppable shot from 20 yards into the top corner from Charlie Grant's pass. The Borderers struggled to respond, but Damon Gray should have equalised midway through the half when he fired over from close range. Chances were at a premium in the second half and it looked like East Stirling were going to record their second successive away victory, but in the last minute, Brazil slotted home from six yards after good work from Stuart Callaghan.
