Shire upset Berwick

Goals from Joseph Dingwall and Kevin Turner earned East Stirling their first away win of the season as the Third Division's bottom-placed side completed a 2-0 victory at Berwick.

Michael Hunter had the opportunity to give the Shire the lead after 25 minutes, but he was unable to beat Berwick goalkeeper Jamie Barclay with a header from Scott Maxwell's corner.

John Coughlin's men did eventually open the scoring when Dingwall struck a superb 25-yard curling effort into the top corner five minutes before half-time.

Damon Gray had a good opportunity to level the scores in the 65th minute, but he was unable to hit the target with a left-footed effort from 12 yards out.

Turner secured the win six minutes from time, applying a clinical finish in the area to Andrew Stirling's assist from the left channel.
