Treble joy for Hemmings
Kane Hemmings struck a hat-trick as Cowdenbeath recorded a 5-0 win over Berwick in the Scottish Communities League Cup.
Hemmings got his first of the afternoon just after the half-hour mark with a close-range finish following excellent work from Jordan Morton.
The architect of that goal played his part in the second too as Hemmings found the bottom corner of the net just two minutes after his opener.
Any hope of a Berwick comeback was extinguished four minutes after the break when Kyle Miller profited when the hosts had failed to clear a corner.
Greg Stewart added a fourth 18 minutes from time when he scored with his first touch after coming off the bench, before Hemmings' header sealed his treble late on.
