Wilmots announces Belgium squad for W Cup qualifiers

Belgium coach Marc Wilmots on Thursday announced his 24-man squad to face Serbia in Belgrade on October 12 and Scotland four days later in Brussels for the upcoming 2014 World Cup qualifiers in Group A.

The only changes to the team that defeated Wales 2-0 in Cardiff and drew 1-1 with Croatia in Brussels in their opening matches last month are the inclusion of Twente midfielder Nacer Chadli and Genk striker Jelle Vossen.

Belgium are level on four points with Serbia and Croatia at the top of their group and Wilmots has decided to drop Standard Liege defender Sebastien Pocognoli and FC Bruges midfielder Jonathan Blondel for the key fixtures.
