The Sun Is Shining for The Butlins Cup

This weekend see’s the UK’s first nationwide amateur beach soccer tournament for men taking place at Butlins in Minehead. The weekend consists of two one-day tournaments over the Saturday and Sunday that will be played on our bespoke 2,000-seat beach soccer stadium. With glorious sunshine forecasted, teams from as far as Manchester, Nottingham, London and the Isle of Wight will be able to enjoy a fun filled day which will see at least ONE uncapped player get selected to represent the England team. With the first game on each day kicking off at 10am, teams will play in their designated groups with the top two teams progressing into the knockout phases. Teams who are also knocked out early will get the chance to play in a ‘wooden spoon’ competition to maximise player’s enjoyment. Demand to enter the competition has been high but with a couple of 11th hour U-Turns, there is still time to enter a team. This is an event not to be missed by anyone involved in beach soccer or who are just willing to try something new! Both the winning teams from the Saturday and Sunday tournament will also get invited back to Butlins, Minehead on July 17th – 19th to take part in the curtain raiser finale to see who will be crowned Butlins Cup Champions. The BSWW Euro League event will see the best beach soccer players and teams take part, including Eric Cantona’s France, former FIFA World Cup winners Portugal, Switzerland, Hungary, Azerbaijan, Germany and of course England! See you on the sand England Beach Soccer
