Ze Roberto wants quiet Qatar exit and German return

Former Brazil international Ze Roberto, who quit Hamburg to play for Qatari club Al Gharafa last summer, wants to return to the Bundesliga, complaining that life in the gas-rich Gulf state is too dull.

"I miss the competition, the pressure and the even the fans' insults -- it's too quiet here," Ze Roberto told the Spiegel website, adding that he has no intention of prolonging his contract in Qatar, which has six months to run.

"After the summer, it'll be either a return to Germany or Brazil."

The 37-year-old former Bayer Leverkusen and Bayern Munich player said he could play until 40 and was fit enough "to help clubs who want to give me a chance".
