Bayern Munich manager Louis van Gaal has heaped praise on Arjen Robben after his fantastic strike in Wednesday evening's semi-final DFB-Pokal finally saw off the challenge of Schalke.
His effort, deep into extra-time, staved off the possibility of penalties and van Gaal also believes the passage to the final was more than deserved.
The Bavarians are set to faced the Gelsenkirchen-based outfit next weekend in a clash that could go a long way to determining this season's Bundesliga champions.
Bayern top the table by a single point with Felix Magath's men breathing down their necks in second.
He said: "We were superior. We dominated not only with our vitality, but also our technical skill.
"It was a fantastic performance. I am very proud of my players.
"Robben is incredible. To score such a goal at such a time is top class."
