Van Gaal fears for Bayern

Bayern Munich coach Louis van Gaal accepted that his side are facing an early exit from the Champions League following a dismal 2-0 defeat at home to Bordeaux.

Bayern have just four points from four games and trail second-placed Juventus by four points in Group A.

He told the club's official website: "That was a long way from our best performance, but you have to be at your best in the Champions League.

"We kept our shape, we let them have very few chances and we made openings of our own, but we failed to score and that's what really matters.

"And it's the little things that settle a game like that. A shot hits the post, a handball, a free-kick. We battled away but we've come up short.

"We're not out yet. We still have a small chance, but we're dependent on Bordeaux."
