Bayern Munich captain Mark van Bommel claims he will only return to former club PSV Eindhoven when he is not wanted by one of Europe's 'big' sides.
Van Bommel, 31, is out of contract at the Allianz Arena at the end of the season and has been strongly linked with a return to his native Netherlands.
The international midfielder spent six years at the Philips Stadion prior to a 2005 move to Barcelona.
"I have spoken with a lot of people, but with no-one about a possible contract in Eindhoven," he said.
"So that's not part of the thinking process. PSV is, at this point in my career, not my first option.
"Only when no other big foreign clubs call us will PSV come into the picture."
