Toni to shun Italy return

The agent of Bayern Munich striker Luca Toni has stated that his client will not be returning to Italian football this summer.

The 32-year-old Italy international has been linked with both AC Milan and Internazionale, but Tulio Tinti insists that Toni is not heading home just yet.

He stated: "He is a Bayern Munich player and will continue to be.

"All of these rumours have been invented and they have nothing at all to do with the reality of the situation.

"He's staying at Bayern Munich."

Toni is under contract with Bayern until June 2011, having scored more than 50 goals in two seasons at the Allianz Arena.
