Schaars' Bayern link grows

Bayern Munich are being linked with a summer move for AZ Alkmaar midfielder Stijn Schaars.

The 25-year-old Netherlands international captained AZ to this season's Eredivisie title and is one of a host of the club's players to be linked with moves throughout Europe.

Goalkeeper Sergio Romero is interesting Juventus, Mounir el Hamdaoui has been linked with Liverpool, Moussa Dembele could move to AC Milan and Hamburg are reportedly keeping tabs on Demy de Zeeuw.

Schaars' current AZ deal expires at the end of next season so Alkmaar could be tempted to sell him for a big transfer this summer if he refuses to sign a new deal.
