Bayern Munich kept their Champions League hopes alive with a narrow 1-0 home win over Maccabi Haifa.

An Ivica Olic goal just past the hour mark decided the Allianz Arena clash, with Bayern moving to within a point of second-placed Juventus in Group A.

Juve were beaten 2-0 at Bordeaux, with goals from Fernando Menegazzo and Marouane Chamakh sending the French side through to the last 16 as group winners.

Besiktas secured a famous 1-0 victory at Manchester United, with a long-ranger Rodrigo Tello goal proving decisive at Old Trafford.

In the other game in Group B, CSKA Moscow kept alive their hopes of making progress by coming from behind to win 2-1 at home to Wolfsburg.

Edin Dzeko gave the visitors the lead in the first half, but the Russians hit back after the interval as Tomas Necid headed the equaliser just before the hour mark and Milos Krasic lashed home a 30-yard winner eight minutes later.

Real Madrid look set to progress from Group C, after Gonzalo Higuain's strike earned a 1-0 win at home to FC Zurich, but AC Milan have work to do after being held to a 1-1 draw by Marseille in the San Siro.

Chelsea made certain of top spot in Group D by winning 1-0 at FC Porto thanks to Nicolas Anelka's goal, while Apoel Nicosia and Atletico Madrid drew 1-1 in Cyprus.
