    Robben sorry for behaviour

    23 Apr 2010 - 07:05:29

Bayern Munich sensation Arjen Robben has offered a humbling apology to team coach Louis van Gaal after arguing with his decision to replace him during their Champions League semi-final first leg 1-0 win Lyon on Wednesday evening.

The Dutch flyer's strike from distance, that deflected in off team-mate Thomas Muller, was the only goal of the heated clash and as van Gaal went to shake his hand, Robben refused the offer.

However, van Gaal grabbed his on-song man, clearly explaining his decision and Robben has now apologised for his petulance.

He said: "I had a really good feeling and felt I was really in the game and I could have scored another goal.

"Therefore, I could not understand why I was being removed.

"But I have got to apologise to all of the fans because I shouldn't do that. I should have been more professional, but this is just part of my mentality - I always want to win."
