Robben ready for Schalke

Bayern Munich are expecting Arjen Robben to feature in the vital Bundesliga showdown with Schalke at the weekend after missing their Champions League quarter final first leg win over Manchester United on Tuesday.

The Dutchman sat out of the 2-1 success in Germany but he has recovered enough to face the league leaders.

"Arjen is doing well, he has no problems for Saturday," manager Louis van Gaal said.

"We travel to Schalke with no injuries."

Bayern sit two points behind Schalke going into Saturday's match, but with the midweek win over the English champions under their belt, they should be confident of gaining a favourable result in Gelsenkirchen.

Club president Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: "We will have a tailwind behind us going to Schalke on Saturday.

"We want to go there and emerge as league leaders. This is a very big game, but we know our team has quality and is able to win these games."
