France international Franck Ribery could have recovered from a knee injury in time to feature in Bayern Munich's Bundesliga opener against Hoffenheim on Saturday.
The in-demand player was able to return to training earlier in the week and reported no ill-effects as he steps up his comeback from the problem.
Ribery could also feature in France coach Raymond Domenech's side for next week's World Cup qualifier against Azerbaijan.
Meanwhile, Bayern have denied reports linking Italy international Luca Toni with a transfer to West Ham United.
Director of sport Christian Nerlinger told Munchener Merkur: "There is no bid regarding Luca Toni and we are not really considering his future."
