Bayern Munich winger Franck Ribery is making progress in his recovery from an ankle injury and will resume light training this week.
The France star has been sidelined since picking up the injury in a Bundesliga game against Hoffenheim on September 21.
"Things are going a lot better already," he explained. "Of course, I still have some pain in my ankle every now and then but I'm definitely making progress.
"I want to return to individual training action on Friday to do some running exercises and so on.
"I've yet to discuss this with physio Thomas Wilhelmi though. Nevertheless, it's my plan to resume training this week.
"I am hopeful that I'll be able to resume squad training again in two or three weeks.
"I'm desperate to return to match action and to help the team get better results."
