Bayern Munich star Franck Ribery is recovering well following treatment on a knee injury.
The France international broke down against Koln on October 3 and it was feared he may have needed an operation to cure the problem.
But team physician Hans Wilhelm Mueller is hoping that he doesn't need to go under the surgeon's knife.
Speaking to the German media, he said: "He is making good progress. He is on his way to fitness for Bayern. We will treat him for a month now, then we will see.
"But it is going well and, while we cannot exclude surgery, at the moment the treatment is working and therefore we must not operate."
