Ribery mulls Bayern extension

Franck Ribery is refusing to rule out the possibility of signing a new contract to remain at Bayern Munich.

The France star was heavily linked with moves to Real Madrid, Barcelona and Chelsea last summer before eventually staying put at the Bundesliga club.

Bayern have admitted they will be forced to cash in on the former Marseille winger next summer should he decline the offer of a new contract.

However, Ribery, who is under contract until summer 2011, has now given Bayern fans fresh hope that he could be persuaded to prolong his stay at the Allianz Arena.

"The decision is up to me," he said during the German club's training camp in Dubai.

"It is possible that I extend my contract. Why not?

"There will definitely be talks with me and my agent and FC Bayern. I think everything will be sorted before the World Cup."
