Bayern Munich's French ace Franck Ribery could be out for two months due to ongoing knee problems.
The 26-year-old forward has not since a goalless draw with Koln three weeks ago and may need surgery to correct the problem.
Ribery's specialist, Professor Jean-Henri Jaeger, revealed: "It is one month's treatment, plus one month's rehabilitation.
"So that means two months minimum before Ribery returns to the game. If it works he will be able to play again. If it does not work, it will require surgery."
However, Bayern head coach Louis van Gaal is confident that Ribery will not need to go under the knife, adding: "Ribery will not have an operation.
"That is a good decision. I hope the recovery goes quicker than many people think."
