New Germany contract for Low

Joachim Low has agreed a deal with the German Football Federation that will see him remain as head coach of the national team until after Euro 2012.

The 49-year-old, who replaced Jurgen Klinsmann in the role in July 2006, led Germany to the Euro 2008 final and has guided the team to next year's World Cup finals in South Africa.

President Dr Theo Zwanziger confirmed: "We have agreed to continue with the same team in charge of the national team."

National team manager Oliver Bierhoff, assistant Hans-Dieter Flick, goalkeeping coach Andreas Kopke and chief scout Urs Siegenthaler have also agreed similar contracts.
