Philipp Lahm has called for patience from disgruntled fans following Bayern Munich's slow start to the new Bundesliga season.
The big-spending title favourites have drawn two and lost one of their opening there games and already new coach Louis van Gaal has found himself under pressure.
Bayern have been held to draws by both Hoffenheim and Werder Bremen before losing to Mainz at the weekend.
"We knew it could be a bumpy start and it has been," explained Lahm.
"A lot of what Louis van Gaal does is tactical. He has a clear vision of how he wants each position to be played.
"That's a massive change for each and every one of us because it's not been like that here in recent years.
"People need to keep their patience and stay calm until the team has completely settled to coach van Gaal's desired system."
