Bayern Munich forward Toni Kroos sees no reason why he can't strike up a fine partnership with fellow Germany international Thomas Muller this season.
Many people believe the two players are too similar to work well together but Kroos disagrees.
"Logically, we can work together," he said. ""I am convinced of my quality. I would not have been brought back if I could not help the team."
Twenty-year-old Kroos spent last season on loan at Bayer Leverkusen, with his ten goals and fine performances earning him a place in Joachim Low's Germany squad at this summer's World Cup finals.
He made four appearances from the substitute's bench for his country in South Africa.
