Hoeness predicts easy win

Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness believes the German giants will take the league title with some ease this term following their early season struggles.

Manager Louis van Gaal guided the side to a ten-game winning sequence before the weekend 1-1 draw against Nurnberg halted their fine run.

They are level on points with Bayer Leverkusen at the top of the table and he is adamant that they will overtake Jupp Heynckes' outfit and once they do, they will storm clear.

He even suggests that their chief title rivals would be nowhere near the top of the league if it wasn't for their shrewd coach, who managed Bayern between 1987-1991, leading them to two Bundesliga titles.

Speaking to the Bild newspaper, Hoeness said: "We just have to remain patient. In the end, we will be German champions by quite a distance.

"Without Jupp, they would not be where they are now. He is the key to their success."
