Former coach Ottmar Hitzfeld has backed Bayern Munich to bounce back from their worst start to a Bundesliga season in more than three decades.
Hitzfeld left the Allianz Arena at the end of last season despite winning the league title and was replaced in the hot-seat by rookie club coach Jurgen Klinsmann.
The former Germany manager has come under fire following his new side's erratic start to the season, but Hitzfeld has called for calm after backing Klinsmann to turn their fortunes around.
"They have made a bad start, but the season is still long," he said.
"Not too much has happened and a real team has yet to be formed, but I am still convinced that Bayern have a good chance of becoming German champions."
