Germany coach Loew hails Guardiolas Bayern move
Germany coach Joachim Loew expressed his delight at Pep Guardiola's decision to return from his one-year sabbatical as Bayern Munich's manager next season, labelling the move "great value for German football".
The impending arrival of the former Barcelona boss "is of great value for German football. We can rejoice about having such a coach in the Bundesliga," Loew said at a press conference in Duesseldorf on Monday.
"I think he will try to implement his vision of football. He personifies a clear philosophy which has been instilled in him since a young age in Barcelona. We will see if he has as much success here," added Loew.
German league leaders Bayern announced last Wednesday that the 42-year-old Spaniard would succeed incumbent boss Jupp Heynckes in the close-season when his contract with the Bavarian giants expires.
Guardiola's four-year stint at Barca coincided with 14 trophies, including two Champions League titles and three La Liga crowns.
