Demichelis reveals Viola bid

Bayern Munich's Argentinian defender Martin Demichelis has revealed that he came close to joining Italian side Fiorentina in the summer.
The versatile 29-year-old has spent the last six seasons with the Bavarian giants, but was keen on a new challenge in Serie A.
He told Hessen Fernsehen: "My agent had called with an agreement with Fiorentina, around mid-August.
"The Bayern directors, whose job it is to evaluate my transfer, declined the offer."
