Bayern Munich general manager Uli Hoeness does not believe Ukraine star Anatoliy Tymoschuk will join the club in the January transfer window.
The 29-year-old Zenit St Petersburg midfielder has held talks with the Bundesliga champions over a move to the Allianz Arena this month.
However, the Ukraine international is more likely to join Bayern in the summer for a fee of around 12 million euros.
"Timoschuk wants to get back to us by the end of January," revealed Hoeness.
"It seems like he does want to join FC Bayern, but only on his terms.
"We also want him, but obviously only on our terms. I believe he will sign on with us soon."
