Bayern to support Ribery

Bayern Munich general manager Uli Hoeness has reassured Franck Ribery that the club has significant transfer plans for the summer.

Ribery has been linked with several moves away from the Allianz Arena on the back of an inconsistent season both at home and abroad from the Bavarian giants.

But Hoeness is hoping the acquisition of some major names during the summer, plus the arrival of new coach Louis van Gaal, will help persuade the France winger to stay at the club.

"We will sign at least two good players this summer who can support Franck in his attempt to help Bayern to Champions League glory," he claimed.

"Bayern will be one of the more active sides on this summer's transfer market.

"We're already discussing terms with one player, but I can't say yet with whom."
