Bayern Munich's Croatia international striker Ivica Olic looks set to miss most of the rest of the season after suffering a serious knee injury during training at the weekend. The 31-year-old has travelled to the USA to seek treatment and is set to undergo an operation performed by renowned knee specialist Dr Richard Steadman. Olic told his club's official website: "I am naturally disappointed. "I had hoped to be able to build on my achievements from last season and had big plans for this year." Olic has been plagued by knee problems during the opening weeks of the new campaign and has only started one game since mid-September. Last term he scored 18 goals in 40 appearances in all competitions.
