Bayern receive double boost

Bayern Munich have received a double boost with the news that both Franck Ribery and Luca Toni are close to returning following injuries.

Italy striker Toni is expected to return against Borussia Dortmund this weekend after missing the opening day of the new Bundesliga season with a calf strain.

Meanwhile, France star Ribery is also closing in on his comeback from the ankle ligament injury sustained during Euro 2008.

"We're talking about weeks not months," said coach Jurgen Klinsmann about Ribery.

"Just having them on the pitch makes the opponents respect you even more.

"But we will make the best out of the current situation."
