Bayern aim to send message

Bayern Munich are determined to send out a message to their title rivals when the Bundesliga resumes after its winter break on Friday evening.
Bayern could move to the top of the table should they get the better of Hoffenheim at the Allianz Arena.
"We want to send out an immediate warning signal to the rest of the league," said goalkeeper Hans-Jorg Butt.
Bayern ended 2009 in fine form on the back of six straight wins but have not been at the summit of the Bundesliga since winning the title under former coach Ottmar Hitzfeld in 2008.
"I think we are still going to be good," said current coach Louis van Gaal. "We want to win the league."
