Bayern Munich star Bastian Schweinsteiger fears he will miss a 'decisive moment' in the season after picking up a shin injury.

The Germany international is unlikely to face Schalke in the Bundesliga on Sunday after picking up the problem during Wednesday's 1-1 Champions League draw with Fiorentina.

"I don't know if I will make it for the weekend," he revealed.

"I want to play in it because I feel it is a decisive moment in the Bundesliga."

Bayern are currently four points adrift of league leaders Hoffenheim following an inconsistent opening third to the Bundesliga season.
