Audi boost Bayern coffers

Bayern Munich have announced a major new investment deal in conjunction with Bavarian automobile giant Audi.
The car makers have agreed to buy 2.5million shares in the Bundesliga club which will boost the coffers at the Allianz Arena by 90million euros.
"I am sure that this partnership will open many new opportunities to us worldwide," said Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.
Audi chairman Rupert Stadler added: "With this direct financial partnership with FC Bayern Munich AG, two successful leading brands are now even more on the ball.
"I am looking forward to many great moments with the club.
"As well as the financial engagement, plans are in the pipeline which should strengthen the global presence of both brands."
