Altintop blow for Bayern

Bayern Munich's title hopes have taken a knock with the news that Hamit Altintop will play no part in their remaining fixtures this season.

The Turkey midfielder suffered a calf muscle strain in the warm-up prior to Tuesday's 3-0 win over Bayer Leverkusen and is facing at least two weeks on the sidelines.

Altintop will now miss Bayern's two remaining games this season - against Hoffenheim on Saturday and Stuttgart next weekend - as they look to overhaul league leaders Wolfsburg.

The two teams are currently level on points at the top of the Bundesliga table, but Wolfsburg have a narrow two-goal advantage in the goal difference stakes.
