Settled Ribery in no rush over new Bayern deal

France winger Franck Ribery told German daily Bild on Wednesday that he has 'never been happier' at current club Bayern Munich but says he is no rush to pen a two-year contract extension that has already been agreed.

"We have already discussed everything, and when I say yes I mean yes!" Ribery said on being asked when he would sign the new deal, which would tie him to the Bundesliga champions until 2017.

"We don't need to have anything on paper. But, of course, the contract needs to be signed and that will happen soon. There is no rush."

Kicker magazine reported at the end of last month that Bayern and Ribery had reached agreement on a new deal to keep the player at the Allianz Arena beyond the end of his existing contract in 2015.

The 30-year-old, who joined Bayern from Marseille in 2007, played a central role as Jupp Heynckes' side became the first German club ever to win the treble of Champions League, Bundesliga and German Cup in the season just finished.

"Why would I go somewhere else where I might be unhappy? I am playing for a great team that makes history," added Ribery.
